The booklet of 10 Red Cross stamps 2022 “Crossed Impressions” was released last April 25th. It is illustrated by samples of printed wool, all preserved at the Museum of Textile Printing in Mulhouse.
La Poste and the French Red Cross have been partners since 1914. Since 2006, over 26 million euros have been donated by La Poste to the French Red Cross to fund various international, national, and local actions in the fields of health, humanitarian, and social action.
On May 6th and 12th, from 8 AM to 1 PM, at the Liberation market (near the children’s playground), postal workers will sell charitable stamp booklets. 2 euros are donated to the organization for each booklet purchased.
The donation from this surcharge has contributed to the implementation of many French Red Cross projects in various areas of activity.
What does the French Red Cross actually do with the 2 € from the sale of a booklet of stamps?
- It provides 2 complete meals to vulnerable people;
- It supports a mother by providing everything she needs to feed her baby for a day;
- It distributes 6 thermal survival blankets.
