A Distance of Over 106 km Covered Non-Stop by AgiBot’s Model A2

A Chinese humanoid robot has officially earned a title in the Guinness World Records for the “longest distance covered by a humanoid robot.” Between November 10 and 13, 2025, the model A2, developed by the Chinese company AgiBot, traveled 106.286 kilometers non-stop, from Jinji Lake in Suzhou to the northern Bund of Shanghai.

A Major Performance

According to sources, the A2 robot traversed urban areas, asphalt roads, and sidewalks while remaining functional for three consecutive days. Its “hot-swappable” battery system enabled it to never stop, which is particularly remarkable for this type of machine.

Technological Context and Challenges

This advancement is part of a highly competitive international landscape in the field of humanoid robotics, notably between China and the United States. AgiBot explains that their A2 robot is a “commercial standard” model, identical to those delivered to clients, with no special modifications for this record.
For specialists, such an achievement in endurance, navigation, and autonomy marks a symbolic milestone: “Even for many humans, covering this distance already represents a considerable challenge,” said Wang Chuang, vice-president of AgiBot.

Implications and Prospects

While the record is primarily symbolic, it demonstrates the growing capability of humanoid robots to operate in real environments over extended periods. This opens up prospects for applications like inspection, logistics, or assistance in urban settings. Some analysts believe these machines could surpass human performance in endurance or adaptability in certain segments.
