Residents of Ariane want to clean their neighborhood to raise awareness about respecting their environment. During a walk to scout problem areas, the findings were undeniable: some places are real dumping grounds!
Who is to blame? Today, that is not the question, but the answer seems to be to act together. Residents are therefore mobilizing for a civic action on November 3, 4, and 5.
A dozen residents have formed a think tank, communicated their observations to the relevant competent services, and scheduled, in coordination with them, specific cleaning operations.
The goal is not to replace the various city services but rather to cooperate, raise awareness, and act for the well-being of the neighborhood.
The first operation will be carried out in partnership with the associations Unis-Cité (24 young volunteers) and ADS (specialized prevention team).
The cleaning equipment used (gloves, tongs, bags, rakes, etc.) will be purchased thanks to the “Residents’ Participation Fund.” This is a scheme to finance the projects and actions of residents (accompaniment by the association La ManuFabriK and financing by the CAF of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Ministry of the City, Youth, and Sports).
