The structures managed by the Nice Communal Center for Social Action welcome disadvantaged individuals with low incomes who do not always manage to eat properly and healthily.
That’s why it has set up cooking workshops at the Center for Accommodation and Social Reintegration (CHRS) of the Maison du Cœur, workshops in which residents of its other structures can participate.
The Régie MIN d’Azur, sensitive to the issues of quality, healthy, seasonal, and local food, has closely partnered with this solidarity project, in collaboration with its partner, the company Gourmet Deliveries.
Besides combating dietary imbalance, these cooking workshops aim to promote the adoption of health-friendly behaviors through an active participatory approach, a factor of social connection. They also provide an opportunity to engage, raise awareness, and make progress on issues of nutrition, health, and reintegration.
This Wednesday, the residents of Maison du Cœur, guided by the Ratatouillettes (Mara des Bois, Kaki Soleil, and Framboise Deschamps, a Nice-based women’s collective committed to the promotion of cooking and the use of local and seasonal products), will prepare a meal which will be followed by a tasting. This is an opportunity to share, together, a convivial moment.
It will also be an occasion to sign the partnership agreement between the CCAS of Nice and the Régie MIN d’Azur in the presence of all partners, thus enabling the provision of fresh and quality products for the preparation of balanced meals.
