When Patrice Bouchon floated the idea of a “Crazy Week!!!”, those around him could tell it wasn’t going to be easy. A crazy week with about fifteen artists and potentially over 10,000 people to welcome, right in the heat of July. But the challenge had to be taken up.
It could have been the worst week of his life! But in fact, this crazy week now counts among his most beautiful memories.
In two editions, Crazy Week!!! has now become THE pop-rock festival of Nice, and is now among the most prestigious in the department. Just steps away from the Mediterranean and the iconic Place Masséna, Crazy Week!!! unfolds over five consecutive days at the Théâtre de Verdure.
From IAM to Aaron, including Superbus, Tété, Yodelice, Cocoon, Louis Bertignac, The Do, Julian Perretta and many others, Crazy Week!!! has set its sights on presenting an ideal lineup in which multiple generations can find themselves.
The feat is also in managing to offer better each year.
At the end of the 2011 edition, Patrice had announced that he wanted Crazy Week!!! to open up internationally and host world-renowned artists.

I felt like a little schoolboy entering the big leagues…
In the end, I realized that this is the price of growth for any festival.
Creating an international festival without taking risks is now completely impossible. You always have to aim higher, offer more, sleep less. So that one day, shortly after Christmas, a phone call and an email inform you that Roger Hodgson, the legendary voice of Supertramp, will be coming to your festival. “
From then on, everything started to unfold. The rock side featuring Shaka Ponk, Dionysos, Skip the Use, Stuck in the Sound. The pop side with Brigitte, Julien Doré, or Puggy. And a selection of developing bands from the Alpes-Maritimes.
The 2012 edition was coming to life, but Patrice wanted a “strong” opening. After exploring several options, he decided to pursue the wildest, most improbable, most insane path. Until the day an email confirmed to him that Mika would be performing at the festival’s opening.
Crazy Week 2012!!! was born.
