During the 6th edition of the Environment Awards organized in 2014 by the city of Nice, the jury awarded €3000 to the bird map project of Nice proposed by the League for the Protection of Birds Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (LPO PACA).
343 species of nesting, wintering, or migratory birds can be observed in Nice.
Born from a partnership between the city of Nice, the LPO PACA, the Alpes-Maritimes department, and Enedis, this map offers a quality guide to discovering the 59 most iconic birds of our city as well as five points of interest where they can be spotted.
Published in 4,000 copies, this map will be available at the Maison de l’Environnement, in town halls, on nice.fr, paca.lpo.fr, and will be distributed in the schools of Nice.
