A new natural park in the Eco-Valley: the Banks of the Var

Latest News

A new nature park has been added today to the 15 already created: the Rives du Var park, which includes a fitness trail.

It is part of the Departmental Council’s strategy for preserving natural spaces.

The Rives du Var is a true ecological corridor of the Var plain: the backbone of the Eco-Vallée, this park stands out for its uniqueness: a 20 km stretch, an unparalleled diversity of landscapes, exceptional biodiversity recognized by its inclusion in the Natura 2000 network, and a historical, heritage, and cultural significance.

15 departmental nature parks have been created, and 4 are under development or study, totaling nearly 4,300 hectares of preserved spaces made accessible to the public and people with reduced mobility, forming the links of a green network, refuges for wildlife and plants, and relaxation areas for city dwellers.
