With the arrival of the good weather, the Asian hornets will become active again.
For many years, the Department of Alpes-Maritimes has been very committed to supporting and sustaining the agricultural sector. This is why it participates in the fight against the Asian hornet through an extensive program.
Following a positive assessment of this program for the year 2016, and before the launch of the new 2017 season, the Department has invited representatives of institutions, associations, and professionals to a meeting entirely dedicated to the issue of this invasive species.
This seminar will notably present the feedback from experiences in the Alpes-Maritimes area, as well as scientific interventions on the understanding of the predator and the state of research on control methods.
