After announcing Usain Bolt a few weeks ago, Yelena Isinbaeva, the current world record holder, will jump at Herculis on July 20, 2012, for her last competition before the Olympic Games.
Yelena Isinbaeva will jump at Herculis on July 20, 2012, for her last competition before the Olympic Games.
Current world record holder and Olympic Champion, the Russian athlete offers the Herculis Monaco meeting the privilege of her only competition in the Samsung Diamond League circuit before the Olympic Games.
As in 2008, when she set a world record of 5.04m in Monaco before the Beijing Olympics, which she concluded with a gold medal and a new world record, Yelena Isinbaeva returns to the Stade Louis II on July 20, 2012, with the same objectives.
After setting a new indoor world record of 5.01m this winter and winning an indoor world championship title, Yelena will jump in the Principality, which she knows very well as she trains at the Stade Louis II where the conditions suit her perfectly: “I am looking forward to competing at the Herculis Monaco meeting. For me, it is one of the best competitions on the circuit, and I really wanted to come back and jump here this summer. The fans and the atmosphere are great, and I look forward to doing my best here in July.”
