As announced, Christian Estrosi launched his “France Audacieuse” this Tuesday, a network of influential mayors that aims, according to him, to fill the “huge gap” that exists between Les Rรฉpublicains, who are “deeply radicalized,” and “a Macronist right.”
France Audacieuse is not (yet?) a political party in the strict sense. For the mayor of Nice, “We are in a framework of dual membership, with everyone able to remain in their original political family.”
After La France Insoumise, now here comes La France Audacieuse. It brings together right-wing and centrist mayors, including those from Toulouse, Reims, Vesoul, Le Havre… In total, 20 elected officials are part of this initial group of founders.
“No lessons were learned from the spring elections, so we wanted to, without opposing anyone, launch a citizens’ movement that contributes to the renewal of the political landscape,” explained Christian Estrosi.
His idea is to “raise a voice from the territories” after the law on holding multiple offices. “Mayors, who are on the front lines of everything, cannot be kept out of the executive and legislative branches,” also argues the mayor of Nice.
“France Audacieuse” will also be open to any citizen.
