During a gallery opening in Monaco, the international sculptor Laurence Jenkell introduced us to Caroline Rovithi, a conceptual artist and designer.
After meeting Caroline Rovithi and her works, Laurence Jenkell offered to display some of them in her gallery, providing her the opportunity to exhibit in Monaco. This exhibition is “a story of female artists,” she told us.

Caroline Rovithi
Caroline Rovithi is a self-taught artist born in Germany with Greco-German nationality. She creates original artworks such as illustrations, paintings, collages, as well as sculptures and installations. Additionally, she publishes books on conceptual art.
Her artistic expression is heavily influenced by the aesthetics of the 1980s, the period during which she grew up. Indeed, we find styles and movements from the contemporary art of that era.
An Unpredictable, Restless, and Emotional Art
She constantly challenges her creativity, which manifests in the diversity of her works and methods. As for her inspiration, she finds it everywhere—it’s a matter of perspective and perception for her.
Every piece of art she creates begins with an emotion: “I consider my art to be unpredictable, restless, and emotional.”
Greece, Her Inspiration
According to her, “All You Need is Greece,” and that is what she wishes to convey through her works.
She aims to spread her love for Greece worldwide by creating artworks that highlight the beauty, spirit, and strength of her country.
Thus, she incorporates various symbols of Greece, not necessarily the most classic ones, as well as other symbols from different countries, adding a touch of Greece to them.
