It is because he chose to end his life in Mougins that his wife and three children wanted to pay tribute to him by organizing an exhibition at the village’s Cultural Space.

Born in 1933 to an artist family, Alphonse PERITORE initially studied architecture.

His talent led him to undertake significant projects: he participated in the creation of the Forum des Halles, the Villetaneuse faculty, and various public establishments in Cergy…

Then, after 30 successful years in architecture, he deliberately decided to devote himself to his passion: painting. He familiarized himself with all techniques such as oil, pencil, acrylic, and collage.

His art evolved from expressionism to abstract. His creations reveal a universe faithful to the abstract transcription of shapes, lines, angles, and poetic effusion. His rigorous and constructive painting is primarily instinctive.

In 2002, he settled in Mougins and as a hardworking individual, did not let a day pass without being in his studio. He passed away there in 2010.
