As a result of a call for tenders launched on May 7, the European Commission has just designated the consortium, supported by the City of Nice, to initiate the creation of a European Union Centre of Expertise for Victims of Terrorism for a duration of two years with a budget of one million euros.
This consortium is coordinated by the organization Victim Support Europe, includes the Lenval Foundation, the French Association of Victims of Terrorism (AfVT), and the Dutch ARQ Centre, and is supported by the City of Nice.
The Centre will have the overall mission of helping European Union member states to pool resources and improve the mechanisms to enhance support for victims of terrorism.
