We knew Rocky just as we knew Rambo. But we didn’t necessarily know the painter Michael Sylvester Gardenzio who signs his works as Mike Stallone.
Well, now we know that it’s one and the same person!
The famous actor from the 70s and 80s was present at the Mamac for the opening of his exhibition, accompanied by the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, and a crowd of regulars and curious onlookers.
On this occasion, we learned that the artist (a definition we can apply to him in both cases) is presenting to the people of Nice his first major retrospective with a title that couldn’t be more enticing: “Real Love.”
His paintings, created between 1975 and 2015, will be on display until May 30.
It remains to be seen whether the media interest in the film actor will be accompanied by a positive appraisal of the painter.
