At the Cinema for Human Rights: The gatherings are 20 years old

Since March 1st, Amnesty International has been offering a wide program of feature and short films for its festival “At the Cinema for Human Rights”.

Regard Indépendant is joining the event with three short films from its turn-edit Super 8 collections.

They will be shown in their digitized version as opening acts for the feature films presented at the Cinéma Mercury.

This is an opportunity to discover or revisit these films, which address universal themes with creativity and sensitivity, including environmental rights, women’s rights, and the right to difference.

March 15 at 8:30 PM – Amal by Racha Taki Al Majzoub, starring Lynn Saadeh, Sabah El Jazairi, Rabah El Taki – 2012 Collection “Forbidden”.

Opening for “She has a Name” by Matthiew and Daniel Kooman.

March 29 at 8:30 PM – Two Funny Birds by Isabelle Zigmann and Sacha Casadamont-Duval. Screenplay by Isabelle Angibaud. Cinematography by Sacha Casadamont-Duva. Sound by Sacha Casadamont-Duval and Julien Barlier. With the voices of Laurent Virieux and Eric Cabin. In partnership with the Cannes Media Library. 2014 Collection “Mad City”.

Opening for “The Sentinels” by Pierre Pezerat.

March 31 at 8:30 PM – Vorfreude by Charbel Kamel. Original music by Joëlle Abou Chabke and Anthony Sahyoun. Featuring Joëlle Abou Chabke and Nadine Hajj Husein. 2012 Collection “Forbidden”.

Opening for “L’étoile d’Alger” by Rachid Benhadj.
