On Monday, June 25, at 5:30 PM, at the Maison du Département in Nice, a visual slide show will be presented and hosted by Patrice Tordjman, a ranger-monitor of the Mercantour National Park: For the Alps, a unique show on protected areas.
This slide show is an original and entirely unique audiovisual presentation offered by the Alpine Network of Protected Areas, ALPARC.
ALPARC is the network of Alpine protected areas, which brings together more than 900 protected areas in the Alps to cooperate through technical exchanges, sharing of expertise, and scientific collaboration, to promote a common strategy for raising public awareness about the protection and sustainable development of Alpine regions, and to jointly address major contemporary issues such as restoring ecological connectivity and adapting to climate change.
As part of its awareness program, ALPARC has engaged, over the past fifteen years, in significant information and communication efforts directed at all types of audiences: from experts to the general public, from mountain populations to urban audiences, from amateur naturalists to casual hikers, from researchers to field agents, and this across the eight countries of the Alpine Arc.
