Two friends, Octave and Léandre, have madly fallen in love with two young strangers and have married them. The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of, but without the consent of their fathers, Argante and Géronte, nothing is possible. Unfortunately, these two old men have marriage plans for their children! The sons feel lost and do not know what to do. Fortunately, Scapin, the crafty and generous servant, is there to make youth and love triumph.
