Popular Commemoration by the โ€œCommunists and Left Frontโ€ Group

On August 28, 1944, after four years of occupation, the Resistance liberated our city from Nazi barbarism.

A liberation that opened the door, in our city and our country, to a remarkable period of reconstruction and progress for our people, following the program of the National Council of the Resistance.

To not forget where ideologies that promote exclusion and racism lead us, to not lose sight that there is no human emancipation without justice and social progress.

To pay tribute to the women and men who liberated Nice and our country, a popular commemoration will be held at 6:30 PM at the August 28 Intersection (Corner of Bd Gambetta – Bd Joseph Garnier)
