Bac 2025: A Free Workshop to Help High School Students with Public Speaking

Latest News

A few days before the oral exams of the baccalaureate, ISCOM Nice is offering a free workshop for students in their penultimate and final year of high school. The aim: to assist them in preparing for the oral exams without altering the school content.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 14, ISCOM Nice is opening its doors to high school students for a workshop titled “Boost Your Oral Skills.” From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., students in their penultimate and final year can participate in this free morning session, led by two public speaking professionals: Najim Ziani, an actor and comedian active on social media, and Pascale Faure, a specialist in oral communication.

This initiative comes at the perfect time. The Grand Oral and the French oral exams will start on June 23. The workshop aims to help participants feel more comfortable speaking, better manage their stress, and learn to convey their ideas clearly.

Rather than reviewing school subjects, the focus is on presentation: posture, voice, listening, clarity. The idea is to learn to speak confidently and express what has been prepared in class without it being lost due to stress or lack of technique.

Oral skills, a key competence for professional future

For ISCOM, this initiative is part of a broader reflection on the skills required in the jobs of tomorrow. The school recently published, in collaboration with Rising Up, a study on the soft skills included in its professional certifications. This analysis highlights skills such as emotion management, self-assertion, and synthetic reasoning. These skills are rarely covered in school programs but are deemed essential in communication careers.

“Ease in oral communication is not just for the baccalaureate; it is a skill that will follow young people throughout their careers,” explains Sylvie Gillibert-Ulrich, Director of ISCOM Nice. She will be present on the day of the workshop, alongside the speakers.

Designed as a supportive and dynamic space, “Boost Your Oral Skills” aims to offer high school students a moment to focus on themselves in a relaxed yet structured environment.

The workshop will be held at 57 Avenue Simone Veil in the ISCOM premises, near the tram (line 2, Mรฉridia stop). Entry is free upon registration.
