For five years, Cavigal Nice Basket 06 has been committed to the development of 3×3 basketball. This year, the Nice Riviera Challenge 3×3, which concludes this Saturday with the Nice 3×3 Brun Open at the Sainte Hélène gymnasium, has seen yet another significant growth.
This tournament, the penultimate stage of the federal pyramid of 3X3 tournaments, will qualify its winners (girls and boys) for the Open of France (Clermont-Ferrand – July 25).
The 3X3 is a friendly and free practice. It has been developing for many years, first under the impetus of street players, then with the support of the French Basketball Federation. Since 2010, 3X3 has been structured with national and international competitions.
The emergence of 3X3 is based on a modern, youthful, and fun concept, in line with the aspirations of an audience seeking a spectacular sport that is easy to play and teach and suitable for all levels.
3X3 is based on autonomous management. Teams are formed for a match, for a tournament, or more! It is played on a half-court with a single basket.
