Bertrand Tavernier, one of France’s greatest directors, will be in Carros on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at 5:30 PM at the Juliette Gréco hall to present his latest film “In the Electric Mist” in English original version (subtitled).
The association Cinéactions is behind this event in partnership with Côteaux d’Azur and Culture et Cinéma. In line with its mission, Cinéactions promotes exchanges between the audience and filmmakers around quality works. In the same spirit, it is currently preparing the 4th edition of Cinéalma in partnership with the FTM and Côteaux d’Azur.
“In the Electric Mist” is a realization stemming from Bertrand Tavernier’s interest in American Cinema, filmed in the United States (New Orleans). He is also the author of numerous works on American cinema, including his latest book “Amis Américains” (American Friends), a real encyclopedia of nearly 1000 pages that will be sold and signed on-site by the author.
“In the Electric Mist” starring Tommy Lee Jones is a major work of Bertrand Tavernier, recognized and praised by critics.
At the end of the film, Bertrand Tavernier will be available to answer questions from the audience.
