Ah, but on Thursday, Noëlle Perna will also be performing at a Verdure Theatre. But not just any, the one in Nice! Although, perhaps Mado might not make it there. You know, with all those trenches in the city, she’s afraid of breaking her leg.
At my own risk, I’ll go see her on either the 11th or 12th of August, she will surely have arrived by then.
In any case, on August 10th, I’m going to the Verdure Theatre in Contes. Sure, you have to take the car and drive along the Paillon, but at least I’ll be cool, away from the exhaust fumes and the tramway construction: it’s a change.
There, in this Verdure Theatre, the melody of the cicadas will echo off Richard Cairaschi and Martine Pujol: a duo who will transport us to the feast made by Jeanne and Toni. For an evening, you will journey through the exhilarating highs that our villages know: the “Feast”, a time of laughter, exchange, encounters, dance, music… Alas, for such events, there are sometimes disagreements, even storms, but fortunately, the sun always returns on summer evenings. Music, maestro! And let’s dance! One, two, three, one, two, three… The elders will nostalgically remember their 20s, and the young will enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the feast.
This musical comedy is organized as part of the 9th Festival Païoun Ven. Every Thursday in July and August, the festival committee of Contes organizes a FREE event at the Verdure Theatre: A wonderful initiative that allows everyone to enjoy a pleasant evening.
In the opening act, Lei Riba daou Païoun will take the stage at 8:30 PM. This choir group from the Paillon Valley will revive the traditional songs of the Nissart country and Northern Italy.
