The Lenval Foundation for children will soon open a new branch for 12-20-year-olds at 2 Rue Raynardi in Nice. It will replace the center established in 2007 on Boulevard Scaliero.

The Adolescent House on Rue Raynardi aims to welcome, free of charge and without an appointment, all young people in the Alpes-Maritimes department aged 12 to 20 who feel the need to talk about their difficulties in a friendly place specially designed for them.
Tending to adolescents has been a Nice and departmental interest: “it was a necessary investment for the azurean community,” said Pierre Costa, president of the Lenval Foundation.
The transfer of the old center and phone lines from Boulevard Scaliero to this address will take place next week.
This center cost 2.7 million euros for a floor area of 800m². The premises have been rebuilt and adapted. Around fifteen young people per day can be welcomed to participate in therapeutic and artistic workshops.
Pierre Costa also thanked the donors while renewing his call for generosity. “You can contribute to a concrete project at a lower cost.”
The Lenval Foundation is recognized as being of public utility by the State. Since the TEPA law of 2008, such foundations can raise more funds. Those subject to the ISF are strongly encouraged to donate to this type of foundation through a 75% tax deduction.
The president of the Lenval Foundation emphasized the transparency and visibility of their actions, “in 123 years there has been no controversy,” and its tangible aspect: “with taxes, you have no way to know where they go. This center, you partly own it.” He added, “the money is always spent in the interest of children.”
The Lenval Foundation amassed over 7 million euros in donations and bequests received between 2006 and 2010. It operates several day hospitals, a training school for nursery assistants, a nursery for young children…
