For a few days, France has been experiencing a drop in temperatures.
To help them get through the winter better and bring them some warmth, the City of Nice, its Communal Center for Social Action, and the French Red Cross are launching a large solidarity operation to collect blankets, sleeping bags, and quilts from January 16 to 20.
Two locations are available for people wishing to drop off their donations, new or in good condition:
4, Place Pierre Gautier (CCAS headquarters) from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday and from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Friday;
6, Rue Tonduti de l’Escarène, social action and disability management reception hall, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday and from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Friday.
The French Red Cross volunteers will regularly collect the donated items, which, after being sorted, will be distributed to the most disadvantaged during outreach activities.
