An essential event for “fashion-addicts”!!!
From January 5 to 15, 2006, the film city par excellence will dress up in the colors of Haute Couture, inviting you to the “Cannes Shopping Festival”.
For the third consecutive year, the Palais des Festivals rolls out its red carpet for major luxury ready-to-wear brands: Christian Lacroix, Salvatore Ferragamo, Escada, Valentino, Capriata Crystallized with Swarovski… These famous designers have come to the Croisette to present their Spring-Summer 2006 collections.
In 2005, the Ministry of Tourism and the National Association of Mayors of Classified Resorts and Touristic Towns awarded the “Economic Dynamism Prize 2005” to the city of Cannes and the Palais des Festivals for organizing the “Cannes Shopping Festival”. “This event, designed to stimulate the destination’s attendance during a traditionally quiet period, also helps develop a positive image and boost local commerce.”
This year, the event will again be marked by glamour.

A “Made in France” (& Cannes) sewing workshop open to the public (free admission)
European fashion schools will create ready-to-wear models at the Young Designers Workshop by the Talons Aiguilles association of the Edhec Business School in Nice, from January 6 to 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Mediterranean Hall – Palais des Festivals and will present a fashion show on the evening of the 11th in front of a jury of fashion professionals. -
Car elegance will parade on the Croisette on January 14 at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Enthusiasts of rare cars, Jaguars, and models will be dazzled: Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche…
It is even said that both adults and children will have an opportunity to try out cars! Rest assured, for children it will be miniature cars and for driving license holders, it will be vintage cars. To each their own car! -
