Since September 1st, the association “T Rayons de Soleil” has taken on the mission of bringing happiness to hospitalized children.
But why the letter “T” in the name of this association?
“T” is the first letter of the name “Thaïs,” carried by a little 3-and-a-half-year-old girl in the pediatric hematology and
oncology department at Archet II.
Thanks to her, an association focusing on organizing leisure activities during school holidays was born.
“During this period, there is no animation structure, so the project of “T Rayons de Soleil” is to enrich some of the children’s long days,” explains Olivier Duroux, the president of the association, “twice a week a team of volunteers, who have skills in early childhood and youth animation, will go to offer a range of activities to hospitalized children.”
Rays of sunshine to draw smiles and a “T” to remember a life named “Thaïs.”
