Celtic Legends… Two hours of an extraordinary journey into the heart of an untamed, authentic, and pure Ireland, a stroll through a 2000-year-old history and culture…
Born in the fascinating plains of Connemara, Celtic Legends is a condensation of traditional Irish culture. The young artists from Galway, Dublin, Belfast… merge for two hours the impetuous tempo of tap dancing, the grace of dance, the frenetic rhythm of music, and the bucolic melody of Irish ballads.
Traditional and unique in the world, Irish “Tap Dance” loses its origin in the mists of history but not its soul. Ask an Irishman, he will tell you the story, but it will still be different from that of his neighbor.
Traditional are also the musical instruments: Bodhran, penny whistle, fiddle, uilleann, pipe… together forming a colorful, rhythmic, vibrant, explosive show, which has already ignited more than 700,000 people in 4 years.
Supported by an orchestra of 5 young and talented musicians under the direction of Fergal O’Murchu, the dancers of Celtic Legends perform the choreographies of Ger Hayes, who was, in another life, a dancer, then lead dancer of the show Lord of the Dance.
