Brilliant and eclectic, the 2009 stage mixes genres, blends young talents and global stars, providing pure moments of musical bliss.

Enrique Iglesias (July 10 and 11), Lenny Kravitz (July 13), Simply Red (July 16), Seal (July 24 and 25), the former Supertramp Roger Hodgson (July 28), Keziah Jones (August 2), Grace Jones (August 7), Leonard Cohen (August 22 and 23),
To assemble this unique puzzle of trends, the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival has brought together immense international artists, known for having enhanced the strong currents of soul, reggae, funk, or pop music, giving them fresh, unique, and instantly recognizable colors.

The pillars of the festival
A great loyalist of the festival announces his presence since George Benson will be in Monte-Carlo on July 14th. For the occasion, he will exclusively create a tribute to the immense Nat King Cole, accompanied by the string ensemble of the Monte-Carlo Soloists.
Contrasts in view: Steely Dan (July 12) followed by the electronic magic of Moby (July 27).
Special nights punctuate this calendar: the “RFM Party 80” on July 17 for the Fight Aids Monaco Evening, which will gather icons of the 80s, such as Emile et Images or Jakie Quartz.
The unmissable “Nuit de l’Orient” with Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe (August 6), and of course, the very prestigious Red Cross Gala on July 31, will also light up the stage at the Sporting Monte-Carlo this summer.
The show that will ignite this summer stage from August 3 to 5, then from August 9 to 13 and from August 16 to 21 will reunite friends of a very great, or even the greatest. Pope, king or slave of rock’n’roll, the King, Elvis Presley, has not disappeared and reappears on these dates at the Sporting Monte-Carlo.
“For nearly one hundred and forty-six years, Monte-Carlo SBM has been hosting music references in its resort halls. Each year, numerous concerts leave an indelible mark on memories. Many are to be elevated to the status of events, like this summer with the farewell tour of Johnny Hallyday, the appearance of Seal, and the closing of the Festival by Leonard Cohen,” stated Bernard Lambert, General Director of Monte-Carlo SBM, who notes in passing that its duration and quality designate the Sporting Summer Festival as one of the most significant events in the pop rock galaxy.
Its 2009 vintage, with irresistible aromas of jazz, soul, and Latin or Anglo-Saxon song, will be worthy of its suave legend!
