The CAP3000 shopping center in St Laurent du Var is organizing three festive days centered around gastronomy. The famous chef Juan Arbelaez will be present all day Saturday at the culinary event “Aux Fourneaux.”
The event “Aux Fourneaux” promotes healthy, simple, and accessible cooking for everyone.
Juan Arbelaez notably shares recipes through his column “Juan régale” in the show “Quotidien” on TMC.
At the central square, the Colombian chef will first give a masterclass on Saturday morning, between 11 a.m. and noon, at the Corso’s beach gate. The participants were selected by drawing lots. He will then perform a culinary show from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., teaching the audience two of his signature recipes. He will conclude by signing his latest book, “À table en 20 Minutes Chrono,” from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., at the Cannes gate. The book is available for purchase at Galeries Lafayette and on-site.
First, a musical performance will entertain the audience before the show. Playtronica will perform between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. He will also entertain children on the same day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ile de Beauté gate, teaching them how to make seasonal fruits and vegetables sing.
That’s not all. Also on Saturday, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., you can try mixology by creating cocktails with IT Villaggio and become a bartender for a day. At 5:30 p.m., it will be crêpe time at Tribeca, until 6:30 p.m.
Culinary workshops with local chefs took place on Thursday and Friday. The restaurants Z Tapas, Les Savoureuses, IT Villaggio, Geppetto, Les Niçois, Tribeca, and Nuances were present to teach various recipes.
Tickets went very quickly and were all sold out despite the “health pass” requirement. Participants were able to taste the dish they had cooked together. Cooking healthy and responsibly was the theme of this culinary event.
Need to do some shopping and buy fruits and vegetables? An organic market is on the forecourt of Cannes until Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
