– The Buzz of Christmas Preparations
In the room, not a sound, not a cry… the children are quietly seated, waiting for Santa Claus… The curtain rises and the children discover four little elves: Dodo, Gaffeur, Grognon, and Neutron in full swing just a few days before the festivities.
This show, produced by the Youth Directorate of the city of Nice, is offered to the children of the Jean Macรฉ school leisure center.
By Friday, December 24, the 1,250 children hosted in the twelve leisure centers open during the holidays will have the pleasure of experiencing a magical and enchanting Christmas.
– Handicrafts, trips to the snow, and a Christmas tree decoration contest are on the holiday program!
The children will participate in manual, sports, and cultural activities around the theme “Elves and Fairies of Christmas.” The older ones will join in a big Olympic day like true snow elves or will go on a snowshoe hike. As for the 108 youths from the Beuil camp, they will enjoy the joys of snow and ski down the slopes of the Valberg resort while waiting for the big New Year’s Eve.
– A Christmas tree decoration contest is also organized in partnership with the Nice Office of Commerce and Crafts (OCAN): the OCAN has gifted 1,000 potted trees to Nice merchants. These trees are decorated by the children from the centers, who will try to win the contest for the most beautiful Christmas “attire.” The trees will then be replanted in the Vรฉsubie Valley by the winning children of the contest.
