This Friday, during his morning visit to Nice, the Minister of the Interior, Christophe Castaner, went to Les Moulins as part of the “republican reconquest” of this neighborhood at the heart of the urban renewal project initiated in 2009, “for which a new impetus will be given in the coming days” โ as the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, who accompanied him on the visit, wanted to add.
On the agenda was a visit to the Youth Recreation Center of the national police in the heart of Les Moulins. This visit included a presentation of the center as well as the urban renewal project linked to tram line 2.
Subsequently, the Minister of the Interior went to the Saint-Augustin police station to meet the nine officers who arrived as reinforcements for the republican reconquest neighborhood and to learn about the “republican reconquest” neighborhood initiative.
At the end of the two visits, Christophe Castaner wished to speak about the system put in place: “As part of the republican reconquest initiative, I chose to target 32 neighborhoods instead of 15 because it allows for a 360-degree view in terms of security. To do this, we need the mobilization of all stakeholders. It is about winning against those who think they are not part of the Republic, and it is up to you to provide the right response.,” the minister addressed the team at the Saint-Augustin police station.
