The Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, Christophe Mirmand, is leaving Place Beauvau in Paris to move to Marseille, where he has just been appointed Prefect of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Prefect of the Southern Defense and Security Zone, and Prefect of the Bouches-du-Rhône.
This ENA graduate, born in Constantine, Algeria, and aged 59, has pursued a career as a senior civil servant.
He knows the region well, having held the same position of Prefect in the Alpes-Maritimes in 2012 and then in Corsica in 2013.
