This Saturday, November 5, starting at 5:30 PM, come and engage with film critics from Télérama, Canal +, Le Nouvel Observateur, Première, Nice Matin, Radio Nova, and Radio TSF. This event session is part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Critic’s Week.
The oldest parallel section of the Cannes Festival has allowed the discovery of both French and foreign authors such as Jacques Rozier, Jean Eustache, Leos Carax, Ken Loach, Ousmane Sembene, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and many others. It showcases first or second feature films from around the world.
5:30 PM: Screening of the documentary “Tous critiques?” by Jean-Jacques Bernard and Julien Sauvadon.
6:30 PM: Round table dedicated to the current status of film criticism in France. A meeting and discussion with critics from Canal +, Le Nouvel Observateur, Première, Radio Nova, TSF.
The session is hosted by Jean-Jacques Bernard (journalist, President of the Syndicate of Cinema and Television Critics)
The Cinémathèque of Nice pays tribute to this valuable and brave work by showing a selection of 25 films from “Adieu Philippine” (1963) to “Adieu Gary” (2010).
