On Thursday, November 10th at 8:30 PM, the Lino Ventura Theater will open its stage to Medi. A local from Nice who started in the bars of old Nice and is now presenting his first album throughout France.

Discovered by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Medi moved to London and began playing in clubs. He frequently returned to France where he formed the “Medicine Show,” his first band. He achieved critical acclaim, and it was then that an old friend proposed to accompany him on drums. The friend in question is Charlie Winston, destined for the career we know…
In early 2011, Medi returned to the forefront with his first solo album, “You got me (moving),” which he almost entirely recorded on his own in Los Angeles with Beck’s discoverer, Tony Berg. He plays all the instruments and sings with infectious passion and energy: “It’s an optimistic record, which really uplifts. I’m very happy with it because that’s exactly why I make music: to share the joy I have in playing and singing. I believe that if it makes me happy, it should also be good for those who listen to it.”
On Thursday, November 10th, the Thรฉรขtre de Verdure will welcome Medi at 8:30 PM, a “musical UFO, straight from the seventies, set to explode in 2011.” Watch out! It’s going to be a blast!
