“The Grand Oral” of the MEPs is a unique moment both for the European Parliament members who meet the public and for the public who can finally ask questions to the MEPs.
This evening at 7 PM at the CUM, we will discuss with outgoing MEPs Françoise Grossetête (LR), Silvie Guillaume (PS), Marie-Christine Vergiat (FdG), and Bruno Gollnisch (RN). The debate will be moderated by Stephane Leneuf (France Inter).
The European Movement organizes numerous events each year to foster a pluralistic dialogue on the European Union. Through debates, we invite all audiences to participate and express their views on their perception of the EU and the future of Europe. The positions of the European Movement are communicated to national and European decision-makers. They are also advocated in the media and online to influence the public debate on Europe. Initiated before the European elections of May 2014, these Grand Orals bring together elected European Deputies from the same constituency with their voters for a debate on current EU affairs.
These organized debates thus allow for the expression of various contradictory opinions, enabling the public to weigh concrete arguments and form their own opinion on the European current affairs topics discussed.
