According to the latest information from Santé Publique France, the number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized remains quite high, around 27,000. This figure includes approximately 3,000 patients in intensive care (the most severely affected).
In France
27,242 people were hospitalized due to Covid-19, including 3,103 in intensive care. These figures are close to those from the previous day (27,270 cases in 24 hours and 3,120 patients).
This Saturday, 24,392 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, including 4,021 in nursing homes, bringing the total to 3,177,879 positive cases of the virus in France since the start of the pandemic. The positivity rate of the tests conducted is 6.9%.
242 deaths were recorded in hospitals within 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 75,862 since the start of the epidemic, including 53,159 in hospitals.
1,479,146 vaccine injections have been administered since the launch of the vaccination campaign in France. Among these vaccinated individuals, a little more than 41,000 have already received two doses, according to information from the Santé Publique France agency.
