Five hundred fourteen people have died from Covid-19 in hospitals over the past twenty-four hours in France.
The total death toll today is estimated at 17,167 people who have died from Covid-19 in France, and 106,206 people have tested positive for the disease.
This Wednesday, 278 Covid-19 carriers (-4) are hospitalized in the Alpes-Maritimes. Sixty-nine other patients are in intensive care, ten fewer than yesterday.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 139 people have been claimed by the virus either in hospitals or in nursing homes in the department.
An additional 514 deaths were recorded in hospitals between Tuesday and Wednesday (compared to +541 in twenty-four hours on Tuesday), bringing the total death toll to 10,643 people in hospitals since March 1st;
The toll in medico-social establishments and care homes for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) today stands at 6,524 deaths;
31,779 people are hospitalized for a coronavirus infection (which is 2,415 additional beds allocated to Covid-19 patients in twenty-four hours, a decrease of 513 compared to the previous day’s figure, for the first time since the beginning of the epidemic).
Currently, 6,457 severe cases are in intensive care, including 284 people who have been transferred there since the previous day.
More than 2,190 people have been able to leave the hospital and return home over the past twenty-four hours (more than 31,000 since the beginning of the epidemic).
