According to the DGS, “the indicators for monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic show an increase in viral circulation” within the country.
Therefore, “Masks must be worn at all times,” says the DGS.
According to its figures, the proportion of positive tests is increasing, particularly among young people, and the effective R (1.3 on the national average) has been “constantly increasing since July 1st.”
In France, 30,238 people have died from the coronavirus, including 15 since the last daily report from the General Directorate of Health.
“5,450 people are hospitalized for a COVID-19 infection. 380 patients suffering from a severe form are hospitalized in intensive care,” also details the DGS. The number of patients in intensive care has therefore decreased by 5 since the previous day.
