During his daily update on the epidemic in France, the Director General of Health, Jรฉrรดme Salomon, announced that there have been 1,331 deaths in hospitals due to Covid-19, with 86% of the deceased being over 70 years old.
Furthermore, the number of cases has risen to 25,233, including 11,539 hospitalized and 2,827 severe cases in intensive care. One-third of those in intensive care are under 60 years old, while 59% are between 60 and 80 years old.
Additionally, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) reported that 619 people who tested positive for Covid-19 are hospitalized in the region. Among these diagnosed cases, 144 people are in intensive care and there are 33 deaths in the region linked to the coronavirus.
The ARS also specified that 31 nursing homes (Ehpad) are affected by Covid-19 cases.
