After the announcement of the first positive Coronavirus case in the Alpes-Maritimes, a call center was established to provide the population with real-time updates on the developments of the crisis.
To coordinate this metropolitan unit, the Metropolis called upon Professor Pierre Dellamonica, former head of the infectious and tropical diseases department at Nice University Hospital, an international expert in infectious risk.
Thus, leveraging these different skills, this monitoring unit will enable more effective and rapid action in connection with Nice University Hospital and health authorities, depending on the virus’s progression.
