The daily report from Santé publique France provided its figures for Friday, February 12. In the PACA region, the epidemiological situation remains very mixed. The incidence and positivity rates of the departments in the region are once again stable or slightly decreasing for the second consecutive week.
Compared to yesterday, conventional hospitalizations have decreased by 33 patients, bringing the total to 1,662 cases. The spread of new variants, specifically V1 (UK variant), is increasing in the region. For week 5, the positivity rate is still higher than that of France, with 7.4% compared to 6.3%.
However, the number of clusters continues to decrease despite a peak in the first week. Regarding vaccines, 170,237 people have received a first dose of the vaccine as of February 8 in the region, and 32,533 have received both doses.
