In its efforts to fight against Covid-19, the city of Nice has taken a step forward with the creation of a “Mobiltest” box on the forecourt of the Thiers SNCF station.
For a few days now, residents or travelers passing near the Thiers SNCF station have noticed the creation of a new structure. It is in fact the “Mobiltest,” a building set up by the company Loxamed. This location allows for Covid-19 testing, with results available within 24 hours. It is a very convenient place because travelers can get tested before their departure or upon their arrival in the Azurean city. It is open to everyone, and visitors can go there with or without an appointment.
A form is to be filled out within the “Mobiltest” to provide the patient’s information (name, first name, email address, phone number, etc.). With the creation of this structure, Christian Estrosi takes an additional step in his desire to “test and vaccinate, with the provision of care.” “This trilogy is the key to our ability to definitively stop the virus,” explains the mayor of the city of Nice. “This new equipment is an additional protection offered to all of our citizens.”

The “Mobiltest” is the result of a partnership between the city of Nice, SNCF Gares & Connexions, and Loxamed. “We are a company that offers screening and diagnostic services to identify Covid patients in an extremely safe and certain way,” summarizes Arnaud Molinié, president of Loxamed. The RT-PCR tests conducted within the structure are analyzed by the BioEsterel laboratory. Doctors specifically look for the possible presence of variants in the samples.
For Agnès Moutet-Lamy, territorial director of Grand Sud stations – SNCF Gares & Connexions, this new equipment is very good news: “Since the autumn, we have sought this partnership with Loxamed. A large public company, like the SNCF, must contribute to the fight against Covid.” Loxamed was already set up at the Paris-Est, Marseille Saint-Charles, Bordeaux Saint-Jean, Rennes, and Grenoble stations. In Nice, the company has now installed its sixth “Mobiltest.” The people of Nice can now take advantage of it freely.
