Once again, hospital data illustrates that the health situation is improving, even faster than expected.


1,799 patients are currently being cared for in intensive care units. There were 1,873 yesterday. Such a low level had not been reached since last October. And 46 patients suffering from a severe form of the disease were admitted to critical care units over the past 24 hours. For reference, there were 74 seven days ago.

More broadly, the country still has 11,114 Covid-19 patients in hospital services, compared to 11,519 yesterday. And only 225 people were admitted over the past 24 hours.

The incidence rate in France continues to drop, reaching 35 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is ten times lower than two months ago. And the positivity rate is down to 1.3%, the lowest since July 26, 2020.

Unfortunately, there are still 56 new virus-related deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, Covid-19 has claimed 110,663 lives in France.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 31,393,190 people have received at least one injection (46.9% of the total population and 59.8% of the adult population), and 15,476,448 people have received two injections (23.1% of the total population and 29.5% of the adult population). In total, 17,363,854 people have a complete vaccination schedule, and 677,573 doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
