the three funny ladies

3 funny ladies wait for the bus, like every day; They all have the same need, like every day; They all go to the same place, like every day.

The bus that is supposed to take them to the CRITORIUM is late, for the first time… Panic on board, the need becomes too strong, the situation gets out of their control, pressure mounts and comedy sets in: Exaggerated reactions. Uncontrolled outbursts. Imminent explosions.

A clever mix of colors, rhythms and surprises.
3 talented actresses (Bénédicte BRUN, Sandrine DESMARCHE and Aurélie LA ROCCA) in a hilarious production, a fireworks display directed by Fabienne COLSON (A Man for Every Job).

Sandrine Desmarche explains her role to Nice-Première: “I play the role of Lady 3, a character that seems quite dark at first glance. This woman may be the most realistic character in the story because she seems to react like you and me. However, she has her own extravagance that makes her a timeless character.

theatre.jpg Lady 3 is quite cold in appearance, very static, somewhat like a marble statue, she even has this “antique” quality. She is dry and cutting. But she also has this “illuminated” air that some mystics have. All this constitutes her “first skin,” since as the play progresses, she reveals herself more and more.

To play this character, I first had to make it my own. It was difficult at first because it’s a character that is different from who I am, then it became very interesting to put myself in the shoes of a character so different from myself.”

Aurélie La Rocca also decodes her character: “I play Lady 2. In my opinion, she is frustrated about everything: in her family life, her sexual life. She still moves forward, toward others but she judges them. She has an opinion on everything.

She is quite annoying in the way she is. With, nevertheless, a permanent need to escape from the reality of existence, so at times she lets her little madness show. She is quite inconsistent in the way she manages emotions.

She makes me laugh. Reading it again, it might give a not really optimistic impression of the character, but in any case she is amusing because of her mood contrasts.”
