DAEU: training open to non-baccalaureate holders and useful to businesses

Latest News

Nice Côte d’Azur University is launching a registration campaign for the DAEU (Diploma of Access to University Studies) until September 15. This is a training program designed to benefit non-baccalaureate holders as well as companies seeking work-study students. A dynamic that could well reshape training pathways in the region.

The DAEU is a training program intended for those without a baccalaureate diploma who wish to resume their studies, train in a profession or access administrative exams in category B. Already implemented last year, it allows obtaining a diploma equivalent to the baccalaureate while gaining professional skills.

The training offers courses on the St Jean d’Angely campus that strengthen fundamental knowledge (written expression, general culture, mathematics, etc.) but also allows students to work in a company through work-study arrangements. Students spend two days at university and three days in the workplace (with company immersion during each school holiday period) from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027. They are also paid during their on-the-job training.

Furthermore, this program is also attractive for companies that can benefit from additional labor, train apprentices and thus find future employees.

Pre-registration for the DAEU is open until September 15, 2026, by email at daeu@univ-cotedazur.fr, but courses will begin on September 1. This diploma, whose preparation can extend over several years depending on the candidates’ background and experience, is aimed at people who have interrupted their initial training at least two years ago. Fees vary depending on the coverage rates, and some employees may, depending on their status, benefit from maintaining their salary during training. All these elements create a demanding but accessible program, designed to support individuals returning to their studies.

Meet the teaching team

It is possible to discuss with the teaching team and ask questions on several occasions:

  • This Wednesday, May 6: until 5 p.m. – Nice Côte d’Azur Shopping Center La Trinité – 1 Route de Laghet 06340 La Trinité (ground floor entrance)
  • Thursday, May 7: from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the France Travail agency Nice East – 30 rue Fontaine de la Ville 06300 Nice – registration required
  • Tuesday, May 26: from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the France Travail agency Nice North – 98 avenue Saint-Lambert 06100 Nice registration required
  • Thursday, June 4: in the afternoon at the France Travail agency Nice West – Premium Building, 61 avenue Simone Veil 06200 Nice registration required
  • Thursday, June 25: from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the France Travail agency Nice Center – rue Berlioz 06000 Nice registration required.

This is therefore a program that could, in the long term, strengthen the links between training, employment and the needs of companies in the region.
