When the wind is at our back, the race seems easy! This appears to be the case for the National Front, which is on the brink of a very likely electoral success in the 2015 departmental elections, anticipating the Regional elections where the party aims high: nothing less than victory with Jean-Marie Le Pen heading the list.
This election will also confirm, or not, the leading position as the top party in the city of Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes department, a title it regained during the last European elections.
Thus, without any particular concern, Marie-Christine Arnautu, the new head of the party in the department, assisted by Marc-Andrรฉ Domergue, the sole municipal councilor in Nice after the split with the Nofri group, who has been given the prestigious role of campaign spokesperson, were able to unveil the list of candidates who will represent the FN and will try to secure as many seats as possible in the departmental assembly.
The presentation of the candidates took place in an optimistic atmosphere and in a festive and popular ambiance after an introduction by Nicolas Bay, the young general secretary in charge of the departmental elections at the national level (What a change compared to Jean-Marie Le Pen’s green berets!).
From Nice comes the novelty: the relations between the FN and Philippe Vardon’s identitarian movement have normalized over time (and certainly many discussions) and 4 representatives of this political movement are among the FN candidates.
Here is the list of candidates for the 9 Nice cantons:
Canton 15 / Nice 1: Daniel Seramour, Michelle Salle
