The Djalamichto Quintet is an Azurean ensemble brought together in 2004 by their common passion for the Django Reinhardt style of jazz made in France.
The group of musicians is increasingly enriching its repertoire with original compositions, while staying as much as possible anchored in the traditional Gypsy music style.
After their victory at the Nice Jazz Off competition, a new chapter in the history of the Djalamichto Quintet has just begun.
They have performed at the famous Nice Jazz Festival in Cimiez on the garden stage alongside Sonny Rollins, Molly Johnson, Raphael Saadiq, Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Melody Gardot…
This exposure to a large audience, the press, and media has been decisive for this group, leading them to enter the studio this summer to release their first album.
