Drap: a great success for the charity concert for the Friends of Lacassagne

The story is beautiful and deserves to be told.

Like the Three Musketeers, they are four: Carla, Emilie, Lucie, and Margaux. Classmates who, as part of their studies in Business and Administration Management (GEA), took on the challenge of creating an event to benefit a charitable association.

To do this, they registered with the Prefecture, found their partnership with an association, discovered artists, navigated the complexities of municipal administration, involved merchants in their adventure, managed ticket sales and the refreshment stand, overcame the stage fright of their first performance, ultimately displaying the radiant smiles of a mission successfully accomplished.

The short but inevitable opening speeches were given under the attentive gaze of Mr. Robert Nardelli, Mayor of the town of DRAP.

In the first part, the frenzied rhythms of African percussion by DRUM Anis, managed by Taore FATOKOMA, impressed the group of dancers with a ritualistic and repetitive movement, open to wide spaces left to improvisation.

Right after the intermission treats, the group Zone 51, composed of Paulin and his comrades, took over the stage, covering the Rock Pop universe from the Stones to U2, including Johnny, Simple Minds, etc., leading the audience into movements buried deep within their memories that its accents revived.
A very beautiful evening that raised €2,100, to which Crédit Mutuel added €500.

This beautiful sum will be entrusted to Professor Joël GUIGAY, Director of the Antoine LACASSAGNE Center, and allocated to the rehabilitation of the tunnel connecting Buildings A & B of the institution.

This significant project, supported by the Association “Les Amis de LACASSAGNE” and the LIONS Club Nice-Etoile, lays its first stone. The restoration will be conducted under the charcoals and pastels of the Niçoise Artist Sylvie T, who kindly accepted this challenge, aiming to meet it with talent by offering the 300,000 people who use this passage every year a stroll through the Nice region.

All aspire to see the light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully by autumn!
