-At Terminal 2 of the Nice port: on August 5th and August 12th at 11:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 12:30 PM, in partnership with the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
With 220 million overnight stays in 2009, the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur region is the leading tourist region in France.
Issue: While the region’s strong tourist appeal is a boon for many economic sectors, it also poses a threat to the balance of our environment. Tourism impacts our environment (waste, sewage, drinking water, etc.).
Objective: The goal of the Eco Attitude campaign is to raise tourists’ awareness of the fragility of our region’s ecosystems and provide them with easy solutions to implement in order to limit their impact.
This interactive tool also highlights and promotes the local environmental heritage by emphasizing its richness, fragility, and protection.
Action: Six structures specialized in environmental and sustainable development education are operating this summer, for the second year, in campsites, holiday villages, and coastal hotels to engage with tourists.
The activity takes place in a cheerful atmosphere: a large-screen quiz-like projection. Participants vote live using electronic devices. Short documentaries cover various topics (heritage, consumption, water, energy, waste, biodiversity).
This summer, the Center for the Discovery of the Marine World is mobilizing in your area: join the campaign and help spread the word about its actions.
Local communication is essential to multiply the effectiveness of our approach.
