Such could be the slogan for Christian Estrosi’s term after the presentation of the strategy that will need to be integrated into the Regional Economic Development Scheme of Innovation and Internationalization (SRDEII), by the end of the year.
“I have set several objectives to be achieved by 2020. I want us to increase from 5% of job creation on a national scale to 10%, for the 25,000 currently unfilled job vacancies to be taken, for us to double the number of patents filed in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and for us to become the smart region,” stated Christian Estrosi, who is notably never short on ambition and prefers to think big rather than small.
Addressing the economic stakeholders of the territory, the President of the Region called for a collaborative writing of the roadmap for the next six years: “Together, we will build a common, solid, and ambitious economic project.”
The President of the Region particularly presented his goals: “We have immense assets. It is up to us to enhance them and make our regional economy shine internationally. I want to make Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur a strong, innovative region recognized around the world.”
11 thematic commissions will be set up around the regional councilors: Industry and Innovation, Financing and support for SME-SMI development, Economic planning, economic land, business real estate, Tourism, Agriculture, forestry, fishing, maritime resources, Local economy, Digital transition of businesses, Energy transition, sustainable development, circular economy, International outreach, promotion and attractiveness, Economy/employment link and professional training/apprenticeship and Enhancement of research and technology transfer.
The promises are there, let’s move to action…
